Meet our artists

We are extremely lucky to work with a talented community of ceramicists and artists whose practices are grounded in stone, clay, and crystalline materials. Artists are selected for the strength of their work, their commitment to craft, and their confidence in their own voice. Each collaboration is approached as a partnership, with the artist’s process and materials clearly represented and respected.

Sinéad Boyle, Rún

Sinéad Boyle is an Irish ceramicist living in Toronto. Raised on the rugged and remote coast of Donegal, Ireland, Sinéad developed a strong connection to the land and history of a place. It was a natural progression to find her passion in clay, as its earthy familiarity brought ideas to life. Sinéad graduated with a BA in Fine Art Ceramics in 2004. With a focus in porcelain, Early work explored themes of family connection through cultural customs and ritual, emphasising sculptural form over color.

This new body of work introduces more colour and vibrancy. In her practice, Sinéad pursues the natural texture of clay pushed to its limits. She is often exploring the notion of the passing of time, memory, history, connection to a place, family, erosion of identity and our human need to record and remember.
