Description
This wheel-thrown stoneware mug features delicately carved botanical motifs that wrap gently around the vessel. Stylized leaves and stems are etched into the surface and filled with a soft green glaze, allowing the design to emerge subtly from the warm marbled clay body beneath. The result is a quiet, organic pattern that feels inspired by garden growth and natural movement.
Along the rim, a flowing glaze in soft blue and earthy tones settles and drips slightly over the surface, creating a gentle transition between the carved decoration and the interior of the mug. The interplay between the carved leaves, the inlaid glaze, and the natural clay gives the piece a layered, tactile character that highlights the handmade process.
The rounded form sits comfortably in the hand, with a balanced handle that complements the mug’s soft contours. Each piece is handmade, and variations in glaze flow, carving, and clay marbling make every mug unique.
