A sharply defined quartz point crowned with a concentrated violet amethyst cap, transitioning into clear quartz through a subtle internal gradient. The upper portion shows skeletal, stepped growth, adding texture and depth to an otherwise clean, geometric form. Elevated on a custom stand, the piece reads as a vertical study in contrast—structure, clarity, and saturation in a single formation.
This specimen is sourced from Madagascar, where quartz often develops in complex growth phases. The amethyst coloration forms when trace iron within the crystal is exposed to natural irradiation, while the skeletal structure reflects periods of interrupted growth, creating the layered, terraced appearance seen at the termination.
Often associated with clarity and insight, quartz is said to amplify focus, while amethyst is linked to balance and discernment. Together, they create a piece that feels both grounding and visually precise.
