A sculptural aragonite formation composed of dense, radiating crystal sprays in soft green tones. The surface is highly textured, with fine, needle-like crystals fanning outward in clustered formations that create a sense of movement across the piece. The coloration shifts subtly from pale mint to deeper green, giving it depth while maintaining a light, almost airy quality.
This specimen comes from Hunan Province, a region known for producing finely crystallized aragonite in radiating formations. These structures develop as crystals grow outward from central points under mineral-rich conditions, forming the intricate, layered sprays seen here. Pieces of this scale and definition are valued for both their natural complexity and their sculptural presence.
Green aragonite is often associated with balance and emotional steadiness. It is said to support a sense of calm while maintaining a connection to growth and renewal.
