Description
A striking smoky quartz cluster, its dominant point rising sharp and well-terminated above a cascade of secondary crystals, each one gemmy and glass-clear with the classic warm smoky-brown colour deepening toward the crystal cores. The faces are clean and undamaged throughout, with excellent transparency letting light pass straight through the largest points. A small patch of druzy quartz at the base adds texture without taking away from the piece's overall clarity.
This specimen comes from Cara Suja, Fazenda Tourmalina, in São Geraldo do Baixio, Minas Gerais, Brazil, a region long known for producing fine gemmy smoky quartz. Pieces combining this level of clarity with undamaged, well-formed terminations are increasingly hard to source, making a clean cluster like this a strong find.
