Description
This raw 8th Vein Ocean Jasper features saturated coral-pink fields patterned with distinct orbicular formations, each ringed in earthy brown and grey. The circular “flower” structures are well defined, scattered across a solid matrix with natural fractures and small open pockets that reveal the stone in its untouched state. The contrast between the warm salmon body and the darker orb centers gives the piece strong visual rhythm and movement.
Ocean Jasper is sourced from the remote northwest coast of Madagascar and is known for its orbicular growth patterns formed within volcanic rhyolite. The highly sought-after 8th Vein material is no longer actively mined, making well-defined raw specimens increasingly difficult to obtain. Each piece is naturally patterned; no two are ever alike.
Ocean Jasper is often associated with grounding and emotional steadiness. Its circular formations are said to symbolize cycles, renewal, and balance.
