Description
A polished slice of banded fluorite displaying layered tones of cream, rust, plum, and soft green. The natural banding moves horizontally across the piece, creating a composition that reads almost like a landscape, with each layer marking a shift in mineral deposition over time. The surface has a gentle translucence, allowing light to pass subtly through the lighter sections while deeper tones anchor the piece visually.
This specimen comes from Mexico, where fluorite often forms in banded structures rather than distinct crystal shapes. These layers develop as mineral-rich fluids deposit material in stages, resulting in the rhythmic, stratified patterns seen here.
Fluorite is often associated with clarity and focus, and is said to bring a sense of order and calm to a space.
