Description
A tall, upward-pointing cluster of pale champagne-to-smoky-green fluorite cubes, densely packed and rising to a narrow crown. The crystal faces carry a soft internal glow with faint smoky banding, and the piece's tapering, almost architectural shape gives it strong presence for its size.
This UK fluorite specimen comes from Frazer's Hush Mine, Rookhope, in the Stanhope district of Weardale, County Durham, part of the same celebrated North Pennine fluorite country that has supplied collectors for generations. Weardale material is consistently highly sought after for its well-formed cubic habit and colour range, and Frazer's Hush in particular has a long history of producing fine cabinet specimens like this one.
