Description
This handmade stoneware mug features a flowing blue glaze that gently drips over the upper edge of the vessel, creating a soft, liquid-like transition into the marbled clay body beneath. The glaze shifts from deep blue to muted teal tones as it pools and moves across the surface, emphasizing the organic movement of the material. Below the glaze line, the natural clay remains exposed, revealing subtle marbling and fine speckling that give the mug a grounded, earthy character.
The form is slightly rounded and comfortable in the hand, with a sturdy handle that mirrors the natural curves of the vessel. The contrast between the fluid glaze and the textured clay body highlights the relationship between control and chance in the firing process, where heat and gravity shape the final surface.
Each mug is handmade, meaning the glaze flow, clay patterning, and subtle variations in form make every piece unique.
