Description
This specimen features botryoidal, or “bubble,” fluorite from Jiangxi Province, China, a formation that is less common than cubic fluorite. Instead of sharp crystal faces, the fluorite grows in rounded, grape-like forms with a softly undulating surface. The colour ranges from lavender to medium purple, with subtle translucency that highlights the layered growth beneath the surface. Botryoidal fluorite from Hunan is sought after for its unusual habit and sculptural quality, making pieces like this especially appealing to collectors drawn to non-traditional fluorite formations.
Fluorite is traditionally associated with clarity and focus.
