Description

A complex, multi-stage mineral plate featuring clear quartz crystals, soft peach dolomite rosettes, and striking cubic pyrite. Sharp quartz points form a crystalline field across the surface, many lightly dusted with fine dark inclusions that add depth and texture. Scattered throughout are bright brassy pyrite cubes, silver-toned pyrite with natural surface alteration, and areas where pyrite has partially oxidized, revealing deep red hematite along the cube faces. The result is a layered composition of glassy transparency, metallic geometry, and warm mineral contrast.

This association formed within a polymetallic hydrothermal vein system. Quartz crystallized first from silica-rich fluids, followed by sulfide minerals including pyrite. In later stages, some pyrite underwent natural surface alteration and partial oxidation, creating the silver sheen and hematite-rich red tones visible on certain cubes. Peach dolomite formed subsequently, growing in clustered rosettes across the quartz and sulfide surfaces. This sequence of shifting chemistry is characteristic of deposits such as the Huanzala Mine in Ancash, Peru.

Quartz is often associated with amplification and clarity, while pyrite has long been linked to strength and grounded focus.

Note

All crystals and ceramic works offered by Atelier Lithic are inherently unique. Variations in size, colour, surface texture, and form are natural and should be expected.

Crystals are natural materials formed in the earth and may include surface irregularities such as natural fissures, internal veils, growth marks, contact points from where the crystal was attached to the host rock, or areas where the specimen was mined or extracted. These features are part of the crystal’s natural formation and are not considered defects. Defects are disclosed within the item description.

For crystals:

  • When a listing includes numbered options (for example, 001, 002, etc.), each number corresponds to a specific crystal shown in the photos. Selecting a number means you will receive that exact crystal.
  • When a crystal is shown as a group or range and sold as a quantity of one without numbered options, the images represent examples of what is available. You will receive one crystal, selected from the group, with natural variation.

For ceramics:

  • All ceramic pieces are one of a kind. Unless otherwise stated, you will receive the exact piece shown in the listing photos.
