Description
A polished slice of rainbow fluorite displaying bold bands of emerald green and deep violet. The colour zoning moves in angular, chevron-like formations across the face, creating strong graphic contrast between saturated purple and translucent green. The slab is cut to reveal internal structure while retaining subtle natural edges, allowing the mineral’s internal architecture to remain visible.
Rainbow fluorite forms in hydrothermal vein systems where shifting chemistry during crystal growth creates distinct colour zoning. The alternating bands of green and purple are caused by trace elements and changes in environmental conditions during formation. Specimens with this level of saturation and clean planar banding are sourced from Hunan Province, China.
Fluorite is often associated with focus and mental clarity, though it is equally valued for its structural geometry and layered internal patterning.
