This rhodochrosite slab, sourced from Argentina, features layered, organic banding with softly polished surfaces that reveal natural concentric patterns throughout the stone. The colour ranges from warm rose and coral tones to deeper raspberry hues.
Rhodochrosite forms in stalactitic structures as manganese-rich mineral solutions deposit layers over time, creating the concentric banding visible in this slab. High-quality stalactitic rhodochrosite, such as this one, is considered rare due to the limited number of producing localities and the fragile nature of the material, which makes well-preserved slabs increasingly difficult to source.
Rhodochrosite is often associated with emotional balance and self-compassion, valued for its grounding yet gentle presence.
